In particular, one company manages the presentation of products, registers online users and processes your order details. The University supplies it with a list of all active email addresses for staff, students and alumni for the purpose of validating the University status (if any) of new and registered users, and to make special products and promotions available to qualified users. In addition the University contracts with parcel carriers and an online payment service provider. The passing on of customer data in this way is necessary to the proper fulfilment of the order.
When you create a shopping account while ordering online you will be given the option to receive information from Durham University by post, e-mail or telephone, about products, promotions or special offers which we feel may be of interest to you.
